Favourite Watch

The 2024 US Masters starts Thursday and Scottie Scheffler is the overwhelming favourite in the betting at 4/1. Winner in 2022, coming in off two wins in his last three starts and T2 last time out. Rory and Rahm are 10/1 ish with Brooks next at 18/1.  The mystery of LIV leaves us not knowing how they'll go but it'll be intriguing to see. Rahmbo was T4 in Miami while Brooks was a totally disinterested T45.

Doc's 5 Best Each Way Bets For The 2024 Masters

Hideki Matsuyama 20/1

There's no secret anymore Hideki is a horse for this course.  The 2021 winner has gone a respectable T14, T16 since but comes in this year in super form.  Winner of The Genesis in February, Hideki then came T6 at The Players and T7 last Sunday in Texas. Big chances.

Xander Schauffele 18/1

This man should be getting over the line a whole lot more than he does, but Xander is still an each way betting dream.  Four top-5 finishes in his 2024 season starts including T5 last time out at The Valspar.  Stats to die for, and with a T2 in 2019 and T3 in 2021 he knows he can contend.  Needs a solid week with the putter, especially on Sunday when it seems to cool.

Cameron Young 50/1

To finish in the top-10: 4/1

Still without a win on the PGA Tour, but a place will do us, and Cam Young seems to have developed a knack of doing just that in Majors.  Four top-10's in the last eight Majors including T7 at last years Masters where he led the field in driving distance.  Came a cropper in the third round shooting 75, but comes in this year in great form off four season top-10's including solo second last time out at The Valspar.

Russell Henley 80/1

To finish in the top-10: 9/2

After three top-25 Masters finishes Russell finally broke into the top-10 in style last year with a T4 finish.  He seems to like that position having finished T4 at The Arnie and 4th again last week in Texas.  The negative for Russell is that he just doesn't hit it far enough off the tee, about 290 average. The positives however is he's brilliant from 150 yards in, a super scrambler, the best on Tour from sand and a super putter who never 3-putts!! Pop that into the Augusta equation and you've a man who could place.

Corey Conners 80/1

To finish in the top-10: 11/2

I have a feeling Corey Conners will have a great Masters.  Here's my logic. Okay he missed the cut in 2023, because he was exhausted after winning the week before in Texas. But in 2020 he was T10 at Augusta, the next year T8, in 2022 he was T6.  He enjoys the wide fairways here and it lends to his brilliant iron game.  Needs a more solid week with the putter though, that is a must.

Long Odds Glory Shot (Over 100/1)

Nick Taylor 200/1

Only his second Masters (T29 in 2020) but this is a mental price for Taylor.  Winner in Phoenix, T12 at Bay Hill and okay he's not in form lately but another who will benefit from having more room off the tee.

Rickie Fowler 110/1

Dismal form of late but there's nothing like Augusta and memories of three past top-10's including second in 2018 to conjure a fairytale.
