This is the amazing story of 18 year old Renato Paratore who went from school this morning in Italy to playing in the BMW PGA Championship in Wentworth this afternoon.

Paratore earned his Tour card in November at Q School and attempts were made to contact him by tournament officials last night to say he was 3rd reserve for the event.

He was then contacted again this morning to say he was 1st reserve but Paratore declined the invitation to travel to Wentworth as he was sitting school exams.

After Anthony Wall pulled out of the tournament before his tee time this morning, a third call was made to Paratore to tell him he was now IN THE EVENT if he could make make it by 2.30pm.

The young Italian dropped everything and grabbed a flight to Heathrow, landing at 1.20pm carrying only a plastic bag and no golf gear.

He arrived at the course at 2.20pm and was given clubs and gear by the Titlesit Tour Truck staff before teeing off at 2.30pm.

How fantastic is that?
