"What is he doing here?" were Paul McGinley's words as Jason Day faced towards the trees at Firestone after an errant drive and just hit his ball into them.

"Was there any daylight there?" he asked next.

Unfortunately for Day this came at the 667 yard par-5 16th hole, but testimony to his professionalism, the Aussie dropped only one shot and ended the round tied eighth and still in contention.

Why do I have a 10 when I'm in a similar position?

Jason Day out of options. Just whacks ball at tree!
