Rumours that Rory McIlroy was spotted in Belfast yesterday playing tag rugby with friends may well be true as it seems the World Number One is fighting fit again and has scheduled a practice round at Whistling Straits for this weekend.

A phone call to the pro shop from a player who qualified for the PGA Championship just last weekend via the Paul Lawrie Saltire Matchplay enquiring about a tee time for practice round resulted in staff telling him that that the 11.38am on Saturday he desired was already reserved for Rory McIlroy x4.

McIlroy has not officially confirmed that he will play the PGA Championship but he certainly going to give it a shot. It looks very much like we are going to get a McIlroy, Spieth and "close" Woods together in a Major after all this year.

McIlroy visited Whistling Straits to film this trick shot piece with George and Wesley Bryan.

No soccer for the next two weeks for Rors. He's back for Whistling Straits!
