I just saw this instagram post today of Rory McIlroy in the gym demonstrating some very strong ankleage and I suddenly thought, 'Hey I recognize that place!'

That is the Active-Q Gym at The Keys Resort in Quinta Do Lago, Portugal.  It's a pretty swish resort developed by businessman Denis O'Brien, possibly in between suing the Irish Government for telling his secrets outside class!

I've since checked with a friend who owns a villa in the resort and he tells me Rory has been there four or five days and is hitting plenty of shots in between gym sessions. He's walking the streets so it's not a state secret or anything. I wouldn't post otherwise.

So what does all this mean? Rors seems to be looking strong and fit enough to play the US PGA Championship next week.  But at the same time, you would wonder the logic of instagraming from Portugal a week before a Major instead of being the other side of the Atlantic acclimatizing, practicing etc? Maybe it's all in hand; sure what would I know!

Best of luck kid!
