2015 Italian Open Betting Preview And Tips

Doc’s Top Five To Watch At The 2015 Open d'Italia

Bernd Wiesberger 14/1

The big Austrian is back on the European Tour this week and ready for an end of season run.  After tying second in Ireland and winning in France Bernd travelled stateside for a solid WGC Bridgestone (T25) but missed the cut last time out at Whistling Straits.  Might be whistling up the 18th in Milan though!  Solo sixth in Turin last year.

David Howell  40/1

Finished the KLM Open with impressive rounds of 63 and 67 to climb into a tie for 12th and David Howell will be relishing a return to Italy where he came so close in 2014.  A final round then of 63 in Turin just couldn’t quite catch Hennie Otto but this year’s short and tight course in Milan may play to his strengths.

Eddie Pepperell 28/1

Getting quite a rep as a writer as well as playing some super golf of late.  Last week Eddie highlighted the poor treatment of caddies on the European Tour whilst on the course punched in an impressive T5 finish.  That will sit nicely alongside his T4 in Scotland and T2 in Ireland and surely a win must be coming soon.  Just needs the key putts to drop.

Robert Dinwiddie 80/1

Rob sits 85th in the Race To Dubai heading into this week and has it all to play for.  A brilliant 62 last Sunday in Kennemer brought his recent run to five top-30’s in a row with a best of solo fourth in the Czech Republic.  Has happy memories of Italy too with a T8 on his debut in this tournament six years ago.

Mikko Korhonen 125/1

Mikko may be a late bloomer on the European Tour but he has played some really good golf this season including in Spain, Austria and Switzerland and after missing two cuts bounced back with a T7 in Holland last week. Strong fairways and greens player when on form and perfect for this track.
